I wanted to start this lesson with a little review so after singing the number song twice we spent a few minutes on reviewing the numbers posted on the board last week. We did this by first going through the numbers 1-20 handout given last week from MES-English, www.mes-english.com flashcards. Next, we went through the numbers by ten's to 100. We also 'repaired' the accents where it would be confusing to hear a '17' instead of '70' and so on. Here's a picture of how I did that. It's on the top left side of the board.
Basically the big circle represents the accent at the start of '70' and the smaller circle represents the accent at the end of '70' , the '-ty' so to speak. Here's an audio sample of what I mean:

Next, to teach the accent for '17' the smaller circle for 'seven' comes first and then the bigger circle for '-teen.' Here's another audio sample:

Said this way, I believe it doesn't sound so angry as if you said the two numbers the other way around.
If you need help looking for a really good, excellent set of alphabet cards for the extension game on page 31 of the Eigo Noto 2 Teachers Book,
for Eigonote Book 2 Unit 2 Lesson 2...
there are some really nice free alphabet flashcards at:
http://www.teachchildrenesl.com/flashcards.htm
Look for the "Upper/Lower - B&W" alphabet set on the page. There are some nice colored sets there too. Print them up, laminate them, and cut them in the upper and lower case pairs first. Then, cut those pairs in half with different curves and lines so the students can have a little fun putting them together. It's a nice little fun activity/game for the Eigo Note.
